Jelle Stefan is a Dutch artist based in Sydney, drawing inspiration from the vivid world of toys, cartoons, and the traditional techniques of the Old Dutch Masters he admired in his youth. His playful, nostalgic pieces celebrate childhood’s joy and innocence, using bright colours, bold shapes, and energetic lines to evoke happiness and remind viewers of life’s simple pleasures. Having lived in the USA, Europe, and the Caribbean, Jelle’s diverse experiences further shape his artistic vision. Working with acrylic paint and 24-karat gold leaf on stretched linen and canvas, he blends vibrant hues with classical techniques to create works of lasting visual depth and impact.
