Linda Olstein

Linda feels living in a leafy green suburb near the National Park on the North Shore is like living in nature. Linda loves going for long walks and sometimes just standing still under a canopy of eucalyptus listening to the sound of nature in the peaceful silence. Linda does not work from photographs or sketches when she goes to her studio and begins painting. She paints from her memories, and what she feels in the moment. Her landscapes are purely from imagination. She also likes abstracting the landscape using abstract shapes and marks to loosen up the brush strokes.

The trees, the bush, reflections in the creeks and little waterfalls that gurgle through the bush and wind through some of the streets in her suburb are her constant inspiration.
